Groundskeeper – Parks and Recreation

St. Andrews Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking a dependable and hardworking Parks & Grounds Maintenance Technician to help maintain our parks athletic fields playgrounds landscaping and outdoor facilities. This hands-on position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors takes pride in a job well done and wants to help create safe attractive and welcoming spaces for the community.

Schedule: Generally Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with occasional overtime opportunities for special events and tournaments.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience

• Maintain parks athletic fields and outdoor facilities
• Prepare and line athletic fields for games
• Mow trim prune and care for landscaping
• Inspect and maintain playground equipment for safety
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment and tools
• Respond to weather-related cleanup and maintenance needs
• Help provide a safe clean and welcoming environment for our community

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain and maintain)
• Grounds maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all seasons
