Questions before applying

Role:

Performs maintenance duties and assists in sanitation control. Assists or repairs any damage to Tribal buildings as needed. Performs lawn maintenance and upkeep on Nation grounds. Assist in any minor construction repair regarding fencing buildings walkways etc. Seasonal upkeep/maintenance (snow removal ice preventative measures leaf removal flower planting ground watering etc.). Maintains Prairie Peoples Park and Tribal buildings. Assists in preparation for upcoming events. This position will take part in a skilled trade apprenticeship during mowing offseason limited to one of the following trades Electrical Commercial HVAC or Plumbing.

To qualify for this position applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Minimum Requirements:

Driving Requirements: Valid drivers license free of occupational restrictions. Must be insurable with the Nations insurance carrier.

Experience: 1-2 years of applicable lawn horticulture/gardening or groundskeeping experience. Strong interest in self-development and desire to learn chosen trade.

Education: A high school diploma or GED.
