Job Summary
The Groundskeepermaintains the safety cleanliness and visual appeal of commercial and government properties. Daily tasks include mowing lawns trimming hedges planting removing snow or debris and performing basic exterior repairs. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
- Landscape Maintenance: Operates mowers trimmers and edgers to maintain lawns shrubs and trees. Applies fertilizers and insecticides as needed.
- Site Cleanliness: Cleans exterior spaces including sweeping parking lots and disposing of litter and leaves. May include custodial duties for interior facilities.
- Safety & Hazard Removal: Clears snow ice and debris from sidewalks driveways and parking areas. Spreads salt when conditions dictate.
- General Repairs: Performs light maintenance and repair on fences guardrails outbuildings and exterior structures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED typically paired with up to 2 years of relevant commercial groundskeeping or custodial experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently stoop stand walk climb stairs and lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Licensing: Requires a valid drivers license.
- Technology/Soft Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook). Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred
