Job Summary
A Day in the Life:
The Grounds Keeper plays a hands-on role in maintaining the exterior grounds of the distribution center to ensure a clean safe and well-kept environment. As the Grounds Keeper you manage exterior upkeep through daily debris removal equipment maintenance and grounds care such as mowing edging and weed this role you organize tools and equipment maintain irrigation systems and carry out seasonal tasks such as snow and ice removal. Work follows daily weekly and as-needed schedules and may involve coordination with the maintenance team to uphold site standards.
What You Bring to the Table
Facility Care and Landscape Maintenance
Carries out daily trash removal across parking lots entrances and fence lines
Performs mowing edging and weed control to maintain grounds and meet appearance standards
Maintains irrigation systems and follows watering schedules based on operational flow
Executes seasonal tasks such as snow and ice removal when directed
Equipment Handling and Readiness
Inspects landscaping equipment prior to use checking oil water batteries and fuel
Cleans and lubricates machinery daily to ensure readiness for next-day use
Organizes tools and equipment in designated storage areas and secures them after use
Task Execution and Site Cleanliness
Cleans designated dumpster areas during scheduled packer operations
Removes debris from sidewalks truck lines and surrounding areas
Separates and disposes of floral and wooden racking materials as needed
Work Ethic and Physical Capability
Completes assigned tasks with consistency and attention to detail
Performs physically demanding work including lifting up to 100 pounds and operating in varied weather conditions
Adapts to changing priorities and maintains a clean and orderly work environment
Communication and Coordination
Works effectively with maintenance personnel and follows operational schedules
Receives direction constructively and contributes to a respectful and productive team setting
Core Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Follows safety protocols and operational procedures consistently
Understands and executes written instructions and task schedules accurately
Demonstrates coordination to operate landscaping equipment and tools safely
Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 100 pounds
Performs physical tasks such as standing walking bending climbing and more throughout the shift
Works in varied temperatures and around chemical agents without issue
Experience in groundskeeping landscaping or facility maintenance
Familiarity with pressure washing equipment and irrigation systems
Receives coaching constructively and meets performance expectations
Contributes to a team-oriented environment with professionalism and respect
