Description

The Ground Beef Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing maintenance activities within the ground beef production area. This role ensures all equipment systems and facilities are operating safely efficiently and in compliance with company standards. The Supervisor leads maintenance personnel coordinates repairs supports preventive maintenance programs and works closely with production leadership to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.

Essential Job Functions

• Support installation servicing troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment in the ground beef department
• Assist with maintenance repair and service of plant equipment buildings and facilities
• Plan organize and direct maintenance operations to ensure effective use of assets
• Implement processes to reduce manufacturing costs through efficient use of manpower equipment materials and capital
• Apply working knowledge of electrical systems industrial wiring pipe fitting plumbing welding shop machinery sheet metal hydraulics pneumatics electrical controls instrumentation and PLCs to maintain equipment at optimal levels
• Oversee setup repair teardown and inspection of automated equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Maintain plant Preventative Maintenance Records and ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks
• Distribute weekly maintenance schedules and monitor progress
• Support oversight of physical plant facilities systems and equipment
• Identify operational issues and implement corrective solutions
• Participate in ongoing support of the Processing Operating System
• Ensure safety compliance for buildings equipment and maintenance staff
• Interpret and enforce company policies and practices
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist teams in troubleshooting
• Maintain production equipment to organizational standards ensuring minimal downtime
• Requisition tools equipment and supplies as needed
• Contribute to the ongoing development of JBS GI policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned to support ground beef maintenance operations

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience preferably in a food processing plant; experience in highly regulated industrial or manufacturing environments will be considered
• Extensive experience maintaining and managing building services/systems using contractors and internal staff
• Experience with quality improvement and risk management processes is an asset
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred

Skills & Abilities Required

• Strong working knowledge of preventative maintenance facilities management equipment repair refrigeration pipe fitting plumbing welding sheet metal hydraulics pneumatics electrical controls instrumentation and PLC systems
• Proven knowledge of building and fire codes health and safety standards
• Demonstrated leadership and peoplemanagement skills in a fastpaced multicultural environment
• Selfmotivated resultsoriented and able to work collaboratively across departments
• Strong communication analytical and problemsolving abilities
