Job Summary
Columbus Country Club located in Columbus OH is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Grill Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute all grilled menu items including proteins sandwiches and accompaniments according to recipes and plating standards
- Maintain proper cooking temperatures portion control and food presentation at all times
- Set up and break down the grill station before and after service
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service standards and ticket times
- Follow proper food handling sanitation and safety procedures in compliance with local health regulations
- Maintain a clean organized and stocked grill station throughout service
- Communicate effectively with chefs expeditors and fellow line cooks during service
- Assist with prep work inventory rotation and labeling as needed
- Properly store food items following FIFO standards
- Support other kitchen stations as business levels require
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certificates/Licenses:
- Food handlers certification
- Local health and alcohol awareness certification
Job Knowledge Skills and Ability Preferences:
- Basic cooking skills
- Sauté and broiler experience
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds overhead
- Frequent bending turning kneeling and stooping
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures fumes and exhaust
- Must be able to operate a golf cart in a safe manner
- Repetitive motion required in food preparation
- Must stand for extended periods
- Normal vision and hearing required
