| Position Duties Summary: |
Review subgrantee budgets invoices and contract materials for compliance with applicable grant federal and state regulations and guidelines
Solve daily problems and make independent decisions based on information gathered and research conducted
Participate in grant planning and re-allocation discussions to ensure effective usage of grant resources
Provide fiscal oversight from start to finish for multiple Federal funding sources
Conduct monitoring visits and provide technical assistance to subgrantees
Research and provide guidance on federal rules and regulations
Prepare and present forecasts of grant and subgrantee spending
Draft timly correspondence to key stakeholders and subgrantees
Any duties necessary to ensure effective funds management
| Education & Experience: |
Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field and/or equivalent job-related experience
| Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge:
Federal and state laws rules regulations and policies related to public programs
Principles and practices of accounting auditing and internal controls
Skills:
Computer skills to properly obtain and analyze financial information
Analyzing records reports operating practices and documentation
Intermediate skill in using Microsoft Word Excel Access
Interpreting statutes rules policies and procedures
Excellent oral and written communication
Research and analysis techniques

Ability:
Examine and analyze records reports operating practices and documentation techniques
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and produce summary reports of findings
Monitor compliance with federal grant regulations state procedures and controls

Prior knowledge of federal or state grants management processes
A combination of formal education and work experience
| Pre-Employment Requirements: |
Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R.12.)
Requires possession of and ability to retain a current valid state-issued drivers license appropriate to the assignment
