Job Summary
Job Description
This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding. Reports to the Director of Talent Search Del Valle at Texas State University. The Grant Specialist is responsible for assisting the Program Director and Program Coordinator with program recruitment and service delivery for program participants in the 6th to 12th grades at the programs target schools. Services include but are not limited to college and career readiness academic support and financial aid advising. Position located in Del Valle Texas with occasional travel to the Texas State University campus in San Marcos Texas. Evening and weekend work may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience with academic advising college and career preparation and the college exploration/application process. Experience developing programs events trips and workshops for students. Bilingual (Spanish) speaking/writing.
