We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Special Needs Child Passenger Safety Coordinator. This Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the statewide Child Passenger Safety Program (CPS) through the Governors Traffic Safety Bureau (GTSB) grant. This position plays a key role in supporting our growing program that serves children with complex healthcare needs throughout Iowa. You will be required to become certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician.

Responsibilities
- Represent Blank Childrens Hospital and Advocacy and Outreach programs professionally while maintaining compliance reporting concerns promptly and serving as a liaison/spokesperson with community media and national partners.
- Plan implement and evaluate community health education programs for pediatric populations using evidence-based practices family-centered approaches and targeted outreach strategies.
- Use current data to identify needs monitor participation and long-term outcomes guide interventions support research and adjust programs to improve effectiveness.
- Manage program goals documentation reports budgets volunteers and human/fiscal/material resources responsibly and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members community coalitions Public Relations and other partners while supporting safety quality customer service emergency response and other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors Degree Required in Community Health Education or related area.
Experience:
Positive public image including public speaking and working with community partners.
Prior experience in program development implementation evaluation and data management.
Ability to develop and facilitate interagency communication to implement goals and objectives.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
