Job Summary
The Graduate Admissions Coordinator provides essential administrative support and oversees office operations. The successful candidate will have a friendly engaging personality and service-oriented approach and will be able to clearly accurately and enthusiastically share information about Iona University graduate programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a member of the Iona University Graduate Admissions team responsible for all phases of recruitment admission and yield representing the University with the highest degree of professionalism.
- Answers phones handles inquiries and provides excellent customer service to all who interact with the Office of Graduate Admissions.
- Monitors Graduate Admissions email accounts responding to inquiries and engaging with prospective students faculty student support offices and university partners.
- Works with prospective students on completing applications and submitting necessary materials.
- Utilizes the customer relations management system (Slate) to complete and evaluate prospective student files.
- Assists in the coordination of recruiting events including space scheduling catering organization invitation management and communications.
- Processes invoices including routing for appropriate approvals and tracking departmental budget.
- Develops reviews and updates recruiting materials.
- Manages recruitment mailings including coordination with internal partners and external vendors.
- Monitors and suggests posts for digital and social media across multiple platforms.
- Manages office supplies and information technology and facilities work orders as needed.
- Maintains office records including filing and organization of digital and physical materials.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an office environment in an administrative support capacity.
Specialized Skills: Must possess a professional manner strong communication organization and people skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and possess excellent computer skills. Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and meet deadlines. Advanced knowledge of Outlook Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPointMicrosoft Wordand Slateis preferred. Must possess and project a positive helpful demeanor.
