Minimum Qualifications:

• Five (5) years or more preferred in underground utility excavation and general construction operations.
• One (1) year or more managing/supervising construction crews
• Have verifiable experience as an equipment operator
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
• Valid drivers license
• Must be able to work day shifts and night shifts. Shifts may vary according to project demands
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be willing to travel if job requires
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of safety rules regulations construction layout and project specifications.
• Understand underground utility work and operate a wide range of construction equipment including performing basic equipment maintenance.
• Supervise a crew of one or more employees depending on the project scope.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and Project Managers to develop and execute effective work plans and schedules to meet project goals.
• Prepare or assist in preparing daily weekly and monthly job tracking documentation and employee time records.
• Maintain consistent attendance and a strong safety record setting a positive example for the team.
• Perform steady to intermittent physical labor including standing stooping kneeling climbing walking on uneven terrain lifting carrying pushing shoveling and raking.
