Job Summary: This position is responsible for developing and delivering engaging instructional lessons while creating and refining elementary school curriculum aligned with educational standards. The teacher fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students academic social and emotional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Plans and implements problem based learning units.
• Possesses knowledge and skills in differentiating learning processes content and assessments.
• Motivates learners.
• Collaborates and participates in development of programs that support the learning needs of all students.
• Demonstrates commitment to establishing/maintaining frequent communication with parents/guardians.
• Interest in and knowledge of history geography civics and government.
• Ability to adapt to the various ages within an elementary school setting.
• Proficient in technological applications and presentation.
• Possesses the ability to establish community partnerships that will support student learning.
• Adheres to the requirements and standards of the Rhode Island Department of Education Educator Evaluation process.
• Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum including differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of curriculum design lesson planning and pedagogy experience preferred.
• Experience in innovative problem based instruction preferred.
• Education:
• Bachelor degree required.
• Certification & Licensing:
• Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.
