Overview
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting and Staffing is partnered with a growing organization in the government contracting space seeking a GovCon Billing Specialist to support highvolume detaildriven billing operations. This role is ideal for a candidate who understands government contract billing and thrives in a deadlineoriented environment supporting project teams and accounting leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare review and submit accurate invoices for government contracts (e.g. T&M FFP) in accordance with contract terms
- Coordinate billing inputs with project teams (timesheets expenses funding rates)
- Support accounts receivable tracking collections followup and billing reporting
- Maintain billing documentation and support audits/compliance efforts
- Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior billing experience in a government contracting environment (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with GovCon contract types (T&M FFP)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- ERP experience such as Unanet or Costpoint is a plus
