Global Market Development Manager

As a Global Market Development Manager for Mining you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding market presence within the global mining chemicals industry. You will identify untapped opportunities and translate complex technical discussions into tangible commercial value within Nouryons Mining portfolio in close partnership with the commercial teamleveraging an end-to-end mining chemistry footprint from blasting through mineral processing to metallurgy. Your efforts will contribute directly to the realization of the global business strategy and innovation pipeline being Nouryon interface with the market and bringing the insights from the field to confirm and/or refine the strategy. You will coordinate Sales Technical Service R&D and IBP to execute the specific growth initiatives that turn strategy into results. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in mining chemicals and a proven track record of driving business growth through differentiated specialty chemical solutions across mining applications.

• Implement the business strategy to achieve growth targets and increase market share translating technical and scientific data into measurable financial opportunities within a designated timeframe.
• Collaborate closely with sales and marketing to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the global mining chemicals industry focusing on supporting growth across key global mining regions.
• Establish robust relationships with key stakeholders within mining companies and distribution partners fostering connections at multiple levels across the mining value chain. Proactively identify unmet customer needs and turn them into documented opportunity briefs that feed Nouryons innovation pipeline.
• Actively nurture and support innovation projects by coordinating internal experts from Technical Service Product Development R&D Marketing Regulatory and Supply Chain to support critical customer activities and drive market development initiatives.
• Support the field validation of value propositions and go-to-market approaches for new product launches feeding real-world results back into the innovation roadmap.
• Stay informed about industry trends commodity cycles ESG requirements water stewardship regulations and the competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.
• Represent Nouryon at key mining industry events trade associations and conferences building a broad network of industry contacts and a growing pipeline of new opportunities. Maintain an active customer distributor and conference engagement plan designed to keep expanding Nouryons pipeline of new opportunities.
• Support the development of value propositions and go-to-market strategies for new product launches.

• A bachelors degree in Metallurgy Mining Engineering Chemistry Chemical Engineering or an Engineering-related discipline. Candidates with an MBA are desirable.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a combination of technical service sales and marketing roles within the mining chemicals industry with a strong technical understanding of mineral processing operations.
• Deep industry knowledge of mining market dynamics combined with a proven track record of driving global business growth and expanding market presence enabling translation of market trends into strategic business direction.
• Deep technical and application understanding of mineral processing unit operations.
• Direct market experience in dewatering leaching and or solvent extractionis strongly preferred.
• Working experience at key partners across the value chain including mining companies engineering firms formulation labs and mining distributors. Experience in the Specialty Chemicals industry supplying mining is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently at both site and corporate levels.
• Combines a strategic mindset with sound business and financial acumen fostering collaboration across global teams and cultures to achieve business objectives.
• Creative and analytical mindset with a strategic outlook capable of developing innovative solutions to complex operational and commercial challenges in mining.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly preferred. Other relevant languages are a plus.

• This is a full-time position based on-site in Houston TX.
• This position will require 40-50% travel.
• You will report to the Global Marketing Director Natural Resources based in Amersfoort NL.
