Our Team is hiring for an experienced Account Management professional in the Greater Los Angeles/Southern California Area

About the role:

As a Global Client Manager you will serve as the strategic relationship lead for a portfolio of Maersks Retail & Lifestyle customers helping them unlock greater value from our integrated logistics solutions. You will act as the primary point of contact across key customer stakeholders developing account growth strategies identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This role sits within our Integrated Sales organization and requires close collaboration with product specialists business development teams program management and operational stakeholders to drive customer retention growth and long-term partnership success.

  • Work with global customers across multiple transportation and logistics products delivering end-to-end supply chain solutions.

  • Partner with industry experts across Ocean Air Freight Ground Freight Contract Logistics Customs and Supply Chain Management services.

  • Contribute to strategic customer growth initiatives while building expertise across integrated logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact across multiple levels of client organizations.

  • Develop and execute account growth plans that expand customer adoption of Maersks integrated logistics portfolio.

  • Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet across Ocean Air Freight Ground Freight Contract Logistics Customs Brokerage and Supply Chain services.

  • Establish and maintain customer success metrics KPIs and critical success factors in partnership with Program Management teams.

  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to support customer initiatives implementations and operational improvements.

  • Monitor account profitability and support contract renewal discussions and commercial negotiations.

  • Resolve complex customer challenges and act as an escalation point for strategic account issues.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bring at least 5 years of experience within freight forwarding logistics supply chain management or related transportation industries.

  • Demonstrate strong account management skills with experience building customer growth strategies pipelines and account plans.

  • Possess broad exposure to multiple logistics products such as Ocean Freight Air Freight Ground Freight Supply Chain Management or Contract Logistics.

  • Apply strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills to support customer growth and profitability objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from operational teams through executive leadership.

  • Collaborate across diverse teams and influence resources that may not report directly to you.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.

  • Bring a customer-focused mindset with the ability to uncover growth opportunities across existing strategic accounts.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary Range: $120000-$160000 USD base salary plus Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)*

  • Commission: Paid quarterly based on gross profit performance with no cap

*The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions experience and location. Final compensation will be discussed directly with the selected candidate(s) in compliance with all applicable laws.

Travel

  • Daily: Local travel to meet with customers in your territory

  • Occasional: One to two annual meetings requiring overnight travel

  • Flexibility: Manage your own schedule to balance client visits account development and team collaboration
