Glass Cutter Glass Shop

Responsible for breaking scoring burning continuous sheets of glass into specific lengths. Cuts flat glass either by hand or through the operation of a machine to specified size and shape by performing the following DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Positions pattern on glass or measures dimensions and marks cutting lines. Scribes around pattern or along straightedge. Breaks away excess glass by hand or with notched tool or glass pinchers. Smooths and sands rough edges. Tables large heavy sheets of glass. Grinds polishes seams and bevels glass as directed. Transports product and helps to unload raw product. Ensures that equipment used is operable and maintained in working order. Cleans equipment floors and work areas according to safety procedures. Able to work overtime as business needs require. Other duties may be RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
