GIS Analyst Senior GIS Analyst

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a GIS Analyst / Senior GIS Analys based at our Tuscaloosa or Birmingham Alabama office with coordination and support across Hazen and its regional offices.

As a GIS Analyst / Senior GIS Analyst at Hazen you will have the opportunity to work across our practice areas (e.g. wastewater water stormwater and conveyance) and geographic regions to deliver geospatial analyses and decision support tools developed in GIS. Hazen leverages desktop and web GIS and as an Esri gold partner is actively helping to shape the application of GIS in the architecture engineering and construction space.

In this position you will be leading the delivery of GIS focused projects and performing complex geospatial analyses. This will include projects associated with linear conveyance asset management digital solutions and field data collection. Additionally you will have the opportunity to help build Hazens growing GIS group and directly interact with clients. Limited travel may be required based on client needs.

Responsibilities will include:

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2 years of experience
• Bachelors degree in Geography Environmental Sciences or Engineering
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and Model Builder
• Exposure and interest in ArcPy and the ArcGIS API for Python
• Experience with Esri web applications such as Survey123 Field Maps Experience Builder Dashboards Story Maps and Hubs/Sites

Preferred Experience:

• Masters degree in Geography Environmental Sciences or Engineering
• Experience with ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python
