Job Summary

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Participate in comprehensive data review and clean-up activities spanning local files and enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure data integrity and relevance.
  • Support ongoing and ad hoc GIS projects including mapping database updates and reporting.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work independently and with the team.
  • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the teams service by offering suggestions or direction as a member of the team.
  • Maintains and communicates accurate status of work performed.

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Bachelors degree in Geography GIS Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum (4) years work experience in GIS or related field.
  3. Intermediate proficiency with GIS software/platforms:
    • ArcGIS Pro
    • ArcGIS Online
    • ArcGIS Enterprise
  4. Intermediate experience using ArcGIS software listed above to create/edit data and create/modify static and web maps.
  5. Ability to learn Elections software Total Vote and Total Address for processing Elections data into Elections system.
  6. Ability to organize review and clean up GIS data and project files across multiple platforms.
  7. Intermediate experience with Microsoft products.
  8. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with IT staff and other departmental GIS personnel.
  9. Demonstrated attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  10. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience with GIS programming languages python arcade SQL
  2. Experience developing ArcGIS web content such as web applications dashboards and maps using ArcGIS Online and Enterprise.
  3. Experience integrating a variety of data sources into the ESRI/ArcGIS platform.
  4. Experience working with local government.
  5. Demonstrates professional organization documentation communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Experience with Service Now
