Desirable Qualifications
MiraCosta College believes that cultural competency with regard to ethnic cultural social and economic backgrounds is an essential skill for success in todays workplace. Our faculty often collaborate on ways to integrate this competency requirement into their departments program through equity-minded teaching strategies both in and out of the many MiraCosta departments desirable qualifications for their faculty include relevant work community service advising extracurricular experience and/or academic preparation that demonstrates an understanding of minoritized and underrepresented students such as African American Latinx Pacific Islander undocumented/mixed status LGBTQIA first generation or formerly incarcerated individuals.
Minimum Qualifications
The transcripts you are attaching to provide evidence that you meet the minimum qualifications below must state the degree title major and date awarded. Masters degree in German or German Language & Literature or German Literature locally approved at MiraCosta College; OR bachelors degree in German or German Language & Literature or German Literature locally approved at MiraCosta College AND masters degree in another language or linguistics; OR a valid appropriate California Community College Credential in the discipline area. OR the equivalent*.
