Geotechnical Engineering Summer 2027 Intern

We will be hiring 2 Geotechnical Engineering Summer 2027 Interns in San Jose or Alameda CA (San Jose preferred).  The successful candidate will work alongside geotechnical staff engineers in the performance of geotechnical field evaluations and construction observation. Duties will include assisting with geotechnical subsurface evaluations and geotechnical calculations and performance of construction phase observation and reporting. Additional duties may include assisting in our in house laboratory and assisting Principal engineers with project related tasks.

Qualifications :

• Current enrollment in a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Bachelors or Masters degree program required
• Junior or Senior Year status required if an undergraduate
• Completion of technical electives or Masters-level courses related to soil mechanics engineering geology or foundation engineering required
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to interpret and apply technical information
• Able to perform a wide range of physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds of equipment on occasion
• Valid drivers license with good driving record is required

Additional Information :

Salary range: $20-25/hour depending on qualifications

No housing assistance available; must live within commuting distance of our Alameda or San Jose office during the summer.

OPT or CPT status is acceptable for an internship but a full-time position will not be available following the completion of the internship if you will require any type of visa sponsorship in the future
