Job Summary

Role: Generalist Tax Manager
Location: Alpharetta GA (hybrid setting with 2-3 days in office)
Pay Range:
$130K-$205K/yr DOE (we welcome Supervisor Manager and Sr. Manager level candidates to apply!)
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package Holidays/ PTO & Summer Fridays
Busy Season Hours: 55 hrs max

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generalist Tax Manager to join our Clients growing team. As a Generalist Tax Manager you will work on various returns including individuals partnerships S-corps and some trusts/estates/gift tax and nonprofits (depending on your experience in these additional areas); you will also help train junior staff. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage tax compliance and reporting activities for the firms clientele including federal state and local tax returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impact to the business.
- Conduct research and provide guidance on tax issues and implications for clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax considerations are taken into account in business initiatives and transactions.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience withS and 1065
- Ideal to have SALT tax experience and great if you also have experience with trusts/ estates/ gift tax nonprofits
- Strong tax prep experience
- CPA certification required for Managers & Sr Managers. If applying as a Supervisor-level candidate were happy to speak with candidates currently taking the CPA exams or those whove earned EAs (and are working toward/or intend to gain a CPA).
- At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting preferably in a managerial/ leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax planning and research.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
