ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Calm and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
• Provide directions and basic assistance to residents families and visitors.
• Assist with opening doors directing visitors and other non-clinical support duties as assigned.
• Report maintenance environmental security or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures as directed.

Documentation and Communication

• Communicate resident concerns and unusual occurrences to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident employee and company information.
• Participate in shift-to-shift communication and provide pertinent information to incoming staff.
• Immediately report emergencies injuries suspected abuse or neglect or other reportable concerns in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.

Customer Service

• Treat residents families visitors and coworkers with dignity courtesy and respect.
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times.
• Promote a resident-centered environment that respects each residents individuality privacy and independence.
• Assist in creating a positive experience for residents and their families.

General Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies procedures safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Attend required training and staff meetings.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform duties in a manner that promotes resident safety and quality of life.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience working with older adults in senior living hospitality security customer service or a related environment preferred.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents families visitors and staff.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to respond appropriately and calmly in emergency or unexpected situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain on ones feet and walk throughout the community for extended periods.
• Ability to sit stand walk bend reach and move throughout the work environment.
• Ability to respond quickly to an emergency and summon appropriate assistance.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
