General Manager

Heas Energy is a privately owned fuel wholesaler and the operator of Express Lane Markets a growing group of convenience stores with fuel and fresh deli food.

About the Role

The General Manager leads all store operations: building and developing the team protecting company cash and assets keeping the store safe and compliant and growing sales and profit.

What Youll Do

• Lead by example; recruit hire train schedule coach and retain a strong store team
• Develop the team through hands-on training one-on-one coaching recognition and clear feedback; prepare Team Leads for growth
• Deliver excellent customer service and keep the store forecourt and deli clean stocked and to company standards
• Manage labor scheduling timecards and payroll in UKG on weekly deadlines
• Control cash: safe deposits drawer counts cash audits and lottery ATM and gaming reconciliation
• Order receive and count inventory; manage waste and shrink; review the store P&L and act on results
• Oversee food service: food safety temperature logs recipes and health department compliance
• Manage fuel operations: deliveries price changes and pumps
• Enforce age-restricted sales safety and permit compliance; keep accurate records
• Partner with the District Manager on visits audits and action plans

What Were Looking For

• Must be 21 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent
• Retail convenience store or restaurant management experience including scheduling inventory and cash control
• ServSafe Manager (Certified Food Protection Manager) or ability to obtain; Class B UST operator certification or ability to obtain
• Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable with POS and scheduling systems
• Valid drivers license proof of auto insurance and reliable transportation

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Flexible schedule including nights weekends holidays and store emergencies
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
