Tiggs Canteen Services is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee our food service operations at the Genesee County Jail in Flint Michigan.

Position Responsibilities

• Tiggs PREP Facilitator
• Lead and supervise the daily food service operation.
• Train and coach kitchen staff.
• Ensure all meals are prepared and served according to company recipes quality standards and schedules.
• Maintain compliance with food safety sanitation and security regulations.
• Manage food ordering inventory and cost controls.
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
• Foster a positive professional and team-oriented work environment.
• Communicate effectively with facility personnel and company leadership.
• Ensure excellent customer service while maintaining company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience in Correctional or Healthcare food service institutional dining or a high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment.
• Ability to read follow and enforce standardized recipes and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to successfully obtain facility security clearance.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday (Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed.)
• Availability to work varying shifts between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
