Work area may include clean rooms garages offices restrooms mechanical rooms. Position will use a wide array of painting tools including thin and thick brushes and rollers.

Responsibilities
Perform the painting duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins counters benches partitions and doors Plan and lay out work from blueprints drawings models or verbal instructions using a variety of carpenters hand tools portable power tools and standard measuring instruments Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work Select materials necessary for the work Paint walls woodwork and fixtures Identify surface peculiarities and determine the types of paint required for different applications Prepare surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes Mix colors oils white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency Use spray gun and/or brush to apply paint
Qualifications
Required: Must be 18 years of age or older No high school diploma GED or college degree required No experience required and on the job training provided
Preferred: One (1) year of similar work experience preferred
