Job Summary
Scope of Work:The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing multiple projects and managing various levels of personnel within the commercial and industrial electrical industry. This role ensures the safe installation alteration addition and repair of electrical systems conductors and associated materials and equipment. The General Superintendent will lead a team of 50 employees and report to the Operations Manager while interacting with both internal and external :Project Supervision:Directly supervise and oversee multiple projects including on-site supervision of field supervisors lead persons crew leaders journeypersons apprentices and Planning:Lay out project work and ensure that materials tools and equipment are scheduled to meet scope budget and project construction -Site Management:Manage assigned construction projects trade contractors and field personnel to ensure scheduled completion within established budget time frames quality and performance standards and customer/client Review:Review project documents plans and specifications direct construction activities resolve construction difficulties coordinate field installations and manage project Relations:Develop and maintain customer/client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat Evaluations:Conduct annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel as Communication: Collaborate with other field personnel and support staff including Human Resources Estimating Accounting Finance and other corporate services Communication: Interact with owners owner representatives architects engineers trade contractors vendors and others associated with project-related Requirements:Education:High school graduate holder of G.E.D. or equivalent studies/experience. Experience:Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program. Four or more years of field supervision/management experience and meets position SKILLS: High level interpersonal relationship skills proficiency in communication skills organization skills and must be technology/computer proficient.
