The Position: Our client is seeking a Dentist (DDS/DMD) to join their integrated care team delivering comprehensive oral health assessments diagnosis and treatment to patients alongside medical and behavioral health staff. This provider will perform dental exams diagnose and treat oral health conditions and coordinate care with physicians hygienists and case management teams to ensure whole-person integrated care. The dentist will consult regularly with the Dental Director Medical Director and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated high-quality care.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a diverse patient population including children and youth and is skilled at collaborating with caseworkers foster parents hygienists and other care and service providers to support positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive oral health assessments diagnosis and treatment of patients
Provide preventive restorative and where applicable minor surgical dental care
Provide referrals for specialty dental evaluations and follow up on results
Prescribe medications as clinically indicated
Consult with physicians Community Treatment Team members and other staff regarding patient treatment on a scheduled and as-needed basis
Assure high-quality dental services and compliance with organizational policies quality assurance standards and dental standards of care
Consult with hygienists and dental assistants regarding the treatment of assigned patients
Maintain current knowledge of dental treatment pharmacology and national state and local standards of care
Complete required documentation including informed consent in a timely manner
Demonstrate an understanding of the developmental milestones of children and employ strategies appropriate to their developmental stage and needs
Work collaboratively with youth caseworkers family members foster parents and other care/service providers
Recognize behavioral and physical indicators of child abuse and consult respond and report as indicated
Employ preventive dental interventions as appropriate
Serve as supervising/collaborating dentist for assigned dental hygienists as applicable
Appropriately assess and manage patient pain levels
Provide dental health/hygiene training to staff and patients as needed
Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
Requirements:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Dentistry (DDS or DMD)
Active and Unrestricted Ohio Dental License
Ability to Make Effective Oral Presentations and Maintain Accurate Records
Knowledge of Federal and State Laws Regarding Client Confidentiality
Ability to Work Independently and Exercise Sound Clinical Judgment
