Our Steam Turbine Engineering team develops and designs highly efficient turbomachines and seeks new talents to join. Latest engineering sciences and disciplines integrated with digital technologies are key competencies we are looking for. The Steam Turbine Engineer is responsible for designing both rotating and stationary structure technologies enabling world-class Steam Turbine performance and efficiency. This is a critical role requiring both system level knowledge of turbomachinery (Thermodynamics) and detailed mechanical design.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Owncomponentdesigninexecution of NPI ITR and factory/field support activities for new units and aftermarket services
  • Drivetechnologyadvancements from a Shaftline System subsystem component andmaterial / life vantage points
  • Collaborate with global & cross-functional team of internal Steam Turbine Engineers and external stakeholders (Drafting/Global Supply Chain) enabling & fostering mutual technical growth and delivering for our customers.
  • Followrigorous R&D Tollgate ProcessfromConceptualDesignthru fieldvalidationfor component design across the full spectrum of Gas Power turbine configurations. Execute appropriate engineeringanalysis (hand-calcs FEA analysis) to ensurerobustdesigns meet all required CTQs.
  • Demonstrated excellence applying fundamentals of Thermodynamics and Mechanical Design including material properties statics strength of materials fluid dynamics stress/strain fatigue (LCF & HCF) and creep. Demonstrated experience with FiniteElementAnalysis (ANYSIS).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorsdegree from an accredited university or college inMechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • 0-1- year engineering experience

  • The required work location is Greenville SC or Schenectady NY (relocation assistance is available)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $72000.00 and $108000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
