Description
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer supports the overall marketing branding fundraising events and outreach plan through external/internal communications social media and messaging.
Duties and Responsibilities:
OUTREACH / COMMUNICATIONS / MARKETING
- Establish develop implement and track performance of a comprehensive communications and public-relations strategy that enhances the organizations image and creates consistency in all messaging/ brand
- Write and design materials for appeals events and general promotion. Proactively complete website revisions and updates
- Serve as a point of contact for the media which can include writing press releases
- Create messaging and execute a schedule for social media content that drives awareness
- Manage social media digital advertising and online fundraising platforms to connect with donors.
- Develop and implement both marketing and fundraising campaigns including annual appeals and capital campaigns
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events from small gatherings to large-scale functions
- Conduct external outreach promotion donor generation and building awareness among target audiences
- Engage with current and prospective donors build relationships and manage donor databases.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Must possess the ability to plan organize implement and interpret the programs goals objectives policies and procedures etc. necessary to maintain a sound operation
- Ability to strategize plan implement/execute and follow-up on all projects
- Have an interdisciplinary approach to working with multiple organizations companies community leaders and stakeholders to create ownership of projects and shared successes
- Highly developed written proofreading verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to produce innovative ideas high-quality work communicate complex information to diverse audiences and write for different media
- Solid judgement with high standards of accuracy responsiveness integrity and discretion
- Strong administrative skills detailed orientated and open to collaboration opportunities
Special Conditions of Employment:
- Valid Drivers License a working motor vehicle and proof of current vehicle insurance.
- Undergo and successfully pass a background check
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends as necessary.
Salary Description
$18 per hour
