About The Role

We are seeking a reliable detail-oriented Full Time Medical Assistant to join our Medical Assistant this hourly full-time role you will support physicians and clinical staff by providing high-quality patient care performing clinical and administrative tasks and ensuring that daily operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is compassionate organized able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and committed to delivering an excellent patient experience while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with all healthcare regulations.


What Youll Do

  • Greet and prepare patients for examinations including verifying patient identity and updating medical history and vital signs
  • Assist providers with examinations procedures and treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Collect and document vital signs such as blood pressure pulse temperature height weight and oxygen saturation
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection point-of-care testing and electrocardiograms (EKGs) as permitted by training and policy
  • Accurately document patient information clinical findings and services provided in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Schedule patient appointments coordinate referrals and assist with follow-up communications as directed by providers
  • Manage patient flow to ensure timely efficient visits and minimize wait times
  • Maintain examination rooms ensuring cleanliness proper stocking of supplies and readiness for patient visits
  • Handle incoming phone calls messages and patient inquiries courteously and in accordance with privacy standards
  • Support medication management by preparing medications for administration reconciling medication lists and processing prescription refill requests per practice guidelines
  • Follow infection prevention and control protocols including proper hand hygiene use of personal protective equipment and safe disposal of sharps and biohazardous materials
  • Assist with administrative duties such as scanning filing and processing medical forms while maintaining accurate and organized records
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and other team members to support coordinated patient care
  • Comply with all applicable laws regulations and policies including HIPAA and OSHA standards
  • Participate in staff meetings training and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and practice operations


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program strongly preferred
  • Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA RMA CCMA or equivalent) preferred; willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe if not currently certified
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting preferred
  • Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with computers and electronic health records (EHR) systems; ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and data entry skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients families and staff
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and privacy requirements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established policies procedures and protocols
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods lift or move up to 25 pounds and assist patients as needed
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality with willingness to work the assigned full-time schedule
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to pass any required background checks or health screenings
