FT Front End Assistant ManagerFull Time Hourly $ 19.30 - $20.00 per hourdepending on qualifications and experienceMust be at least 18 years and olderPosition Description:With limited supervision the assistant manager is responsible for assisting with the overall operations of the Front End departmentYour day-to-day:Oversee all Front End Supervisor functionsBe ready to assist cashiers with any technical problems with the registersBe ready to assist in any area of the Front End including customer serviceCoordinate special events for customers throughout the yearAttend department BASH Strategy and Managers MeetingAssist in hiring promoting and training team membersProvide timely feedback by completing and delivering comprehensive 90 day and mid-year Performance ChatsPrepare or provide feedback to department manager for Annual Performance AppraisalsDelivery Annual Performance Appraisals to cashier trainers cashiers and baggers (if applicable)Create schedules and enter them into HRIS system for team members to access at least 2 weeks in advancePrepare revised cashier schedules for holidays to ensure coverage is in line with expected sales volumeEnsure team member time cards are accurate for weekly payroll processingConduct and/or actively participate in monthly department communication meetings including customer service money room parties and trainingAddress disciplinary issues in a timely fashionEnsure compliance with all employment lawsEnsure the department is in compliance with all health codes sanitation and safety regulationsEnsure representation is present at all monthly Safety Committee MeetingsConduct/oversee daily/periodic department cleaningAny other projects as neededQualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years experienceAble to operate a cash registerExcellent customer service skillsExcellent computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook the HRIS system item maintenance system and STCR for registersExcellent communications skills both written and oralAbove average organizational skillsThe ability to delegate tasks and give clear directionsThe ability to multi-taskWhat you bring to the team:Lead by exampleExcellent work ethicExcellent interpersonal skillHonestConfidentialQuick thinkerThe ability to problem solveFirm but fairFlexibleWorking Conditions:Requires frequent walking and standing with occasional lifting up to 30 poundsRequires occasional repetitive motion of arms and handsSatisfy:Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude ensuring that each customer feels welcome and :Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store offering assistance and support where :Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.
