Job Summary

Full-Time Direct Care Professional (DSP)

Annual Salary: $37799

Shift Differential: $2.50/hour for evening overnight and weekend shifts

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey Join the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) as a Full-Time Direct Care Professional (DSP) with the Southeastern Family Project (SEFP). In this rewarding role youll provide compassionate care and daily support to women and families receiving residential treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

As part of our residential team youll help create a safe structured and recovery-focused environment where individuals can build life skills strengthen family relationships and work toward lasting independence.

Minimum Qualifications
  • One year of direct care experience working with adults and/or families with substance abuse and/or mental health needs CNA a plus.

What Youll Do
  • Provide direct supervision and support in a residential treatment setting.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities household responsibilities and infant care as needed.
  • Encourage participation in recovery programming life skills development and structured activities.
  • Observe document and communicate client progress behaviors and safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate timely and confidential documentation.
  • Promote a safe respectful and therapeutic living environment.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and multidisciplinary treatment team to support successful client outcomes.

About the Southeastern Family Project

The Southeastern Family Project is a licensed residential treatment program serving women recovering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The program provides ASAM Level 3.5 and 3.1 residential treatment for non-pregnant women pregnant women postpartum women and their infants.
