At Apple we build products that enrich peoples lives. Worldwide Developer Relations (WWDR) empowers developers outside of Apple to build amazing products for our platforms using Swift Xcode and more! The WWDR Engineering team builds apps and tools to support our developer community including the Developer app and . We are a fast-paced collaborative group working with the latest AI technologies and are looking for an engineer passionate about creating everything from single pages to entire web applications including the design development and maintenance of our deployment infrastructure. Our focus is supporting developers and our mission is to build the services that provide the next generation of developer us and impact millions of developers as they build their apps for iOS iPadOS macOS watchOS tvOS and visionOS.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced full-stack software engineer who cares deeply about modern ways to provide services and experiences to support our incredible Apple Developer community. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working at all levels of the stack and has demonstrated expertise in delivering streamlined high-availability systems. nnIn this role you will design and develop innovative frontend and backend features for both internal and external web applications and you are comfortable analyzing business requirements identifying gaps and translating them into technical designs. nYou are proficient in and adhere to the best practices of software development including code reviews continuous integration and automated testing. To deliver complex high-quality solutions within tight deadlines you will regularly interact with engineering teams UI/UX designers management and other organizations within Apple. nnThe successful candidate will be a highly skilled communicator who is deeply technical organized creative and passionate about achieving results through strong analytical and critical thinking.

Architect design and develop scalable maintainable software systems; affect key technical and develop scalable full-stack internal and external web applications and services influence tech stack choices and refine API standards for the technical initiatives and drive projects from conception through clean elegant and well-tested code that meets or exceeds the standard for quality on the well-documented tools packages and frameworks for consistency and testing strategies establish best practices and ensure system reliability at scale.

BS in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent degree with at least 7 years of relevant knowledge of HTML JavaScript/TypeScript and with backend languages such as Swift PHP Ruby or with template engines such as Smarty with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or hands-on knowledge in a Unix/Linux debugging and critical thinking skills.

Comfortable working on highly visible projects in a dynamic and highly collaborative team creating frontend applications with JavaScript libraries such as React or developing RESTful APIs using design-first principles like with containerization concepts like Kubernetes Docker OpenTelemetry of cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code process automation using Terraform Pulumi or alternatives.
