Job Description: Department Overview: BU is ranked one of the top 50 public universities and is a premier R1 research university. Job Description: As part of the strategic plan for expanding biomedical and health science research in emerging fields the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Watson College Binghamton University (BU) State University of New York (SUNY) invites applications for one tenured faculty position at the full Professor level with an expected start date of September 1 2026. We are seeking a well-established biomedical engineer who has an outstanding track record in funding scholarship teaching and service. We seek applications from candidates in all areas of biomedical engineering; however we are particularly interested in the following areas: AI/Data Science/Controls in Biomedical Engineering/Biomanufacturing (brain-computer interface computer vision machine learning digital pathology biomedical big data cell/tissue/organ atlas biomechatronics AI-empowered cell biomanufacturing and tissue biofabrication etc.) Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness are preferred.
