Position Overview - Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our established accounting department at our Whittier CA office. Reporting to the Director of Accounting youll play a key role in managing the full bookkeeping cycle for a growing company of 70 employees ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial statements reconciliations and general ledger management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete bookkeeping cycle including monthly closing reconciliations and preparation of financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions (including payroll entries) are properly recorded
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes collaborating with the AP clerk as needed
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
• Monitor and report on account balances and variance to budget
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Work closely with the Director of Accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
• Heavy use of QuickBooks Enterprise (desktop) and Microsoft Excel is required

Requirements

• 7 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience ideally in a company with 25 employees and exceeding $5M$10M in revenues
• Mastery of QuickBooks Enterprise (desktop version) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle financial statements and reconciliations
• Experience working with general ledger AP/AR and monthly close
• Familiarity with preferred but not required (we will provide training)
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
• Certified Bookkeeper credential is a plus but not required
• Attention to detail accuracy and reliability
• Task-oriented able to take direction and a team player who values consistency and routine

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: $65000 / year
• 15141 Whittier Blvd Suite 530 Whittier CA 90603
• MondayFriday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (1 hour lunch)
