About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedFull-Charge Bookkeeperto manage our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized dependable and comfortable handling the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions
- Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and process invoices payments and deposits
- Perform monthly bank credit card and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage payroll and related payroll tax filings as applicable
- Prepare sales tax and other required financial reports
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
- Supervise office staff responsible for: Payroll Accounts Payable Invoicing Accounts
Receivable Cash Collection Loss Control and Purchasing. - Review job costs and overheads for corrective action
- Establish approval of procedures for capital expenditures and general purchase
- Assist with budgeting cash-flow tracking and financial analysis
- Coordinate with the CPA/tax accountant for year-end closing and tax preparation
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Qualifications
- 4 years of full-charge bookkeeping or job costing accounting
- 3 years of people management experience within an accounting or finance department
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle
- QuickBooks proficiency is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with payroll sales tax and financial reporting preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables V lookups H lookups VBA and Macros etc.)
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA designation preferred
- **Prior Construction Accounting Experience Highly Preferred*
