JOB DESCRIPTION: FUEL TRANSPORT/DELIVERY DRIVER

Summary:

Safely and on time our drivers transport fuel from suppliers to where its needed keeping Americas wheels rolling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver product to storage facility/customers in a safe timely and professional manner ensuring the truck is operated in a safe manner at all times
• Follow all guidelines and regulations for hauling petroleum products
• Maintain logs with each shipment completing daily invoices and reports
• Inspect trucks and trailers per DOT requirements (brakes engine oil water levels lights loading hoses etc.). Complete maintenance report on all deficiencies.
• Report all accidents traffic violations and damage to vehicles.
• Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of any needed repairs.
• Connect hoses between trailer and unloading/loading facility and monitor unloading/loading process to avoid spills and ensure that equipment is functioning properly.
• Manage all aspects of the load on truck and be responsible for all shortages and damages
• Maintain cleanliness of truck both inside and out.
• Ensure on time loading and unloading and communicate with vendors/customers if delays occur
• Provide excellent customer service treating all customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Observe company federal state and local policies regulations and laws and adhere to company safety policies at all times
• Be available to load and/or unload your loads as needed
• Make out daily trip sheet and other paper work as required
• Complete any other duties or special projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic reading writing and math skills
• Maintain at all times Class A CDL with Hazmat Tanker and Air Brake endorsements
• Two years of driving experience with OTR/Fuel
• Successfully pass criminaldriving record screening and DOT physical/drug test
• Ability to read write and verbally communicate in English
• Lift carry push pull items weighing up to 80 pounds walk stand sit bend and kneel
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and/or holidays
