What youll do...

Lead overall design validation and launch of fuel system components potentially including: fuel tank fuel lines fuel filler pipe carbon canister and vapor components etc.

Manage system engineering and integration into the vehicle platform

Lead milestone signoff reviews for related components to insure that all design requirements are met

Support issue resolution including data collection and analysis to support root cause confirmation and corrective actions

Manage component and system level validation testing to support engineering milestone signoffs

Communicate status and issues to broad audience including senior management and program teams

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74300-$124500

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86600-$144900

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99100-$166200

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidates skills and experience and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.

Youll have...

BS in Engineering

Proficiency in the usage of D&R tools such as WERS Teamcenter FEDE Global 8D DFMEA DVP&R PV APQP Reviews and AIMs

Familiarity with fuel system components materials and their manufacturing processes

Even better you may have...

MS in Engineering

2 years of design and release experience

Previous Fuel Systems and launch experience is desired

Self-starter with excellent communication skills who can look ahead for the GPDS program deliverables develop a workplan and drive the process both inside of Ford and with the supply base to meet the deliverables

Strong organizational skills

Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues using a data-driven approach
