As a Senior Lab Support Tech you will collaborate with various teams within the department. This includes supporting daily lab operations performing technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements and maintaining proper management of freezers and samples.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conductfull inventory of all freezers one unit at a time using the designated Freezer Pro tracking system
- Implement control over freezers when inventory is done
- Thermo Fisher Staff will retrieve and deliver samples torequestedlocationand update all movements within the tracking system.
- Thermo Fisher staff willconsolidatehigh-use samples into designated freezers toremain unlocked and accessible to lab personnel at all times.
- Conduct monthly inspections including removal of loose frost/snow using appropriateequipment andclearing of ice buildup on doors
- Conduct annual defrost procedures
- Dispose of samples lacking clear and proper identification materials identified as outdated or no longerrequired
- Responsible for efficiently managing & tracking freezer inventory in a laboratory environment
- Ensure accurate documentation organization and maintenance of freezer inventory
- Ensuring all items are properly stored and easily retrievable when needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records & monitor inventory levels
- Effectively use the customers inventory tracking system to ensure information is correct
- Ensure items are properly labeled categorized and stored according to specific requirements
Education and Experience:
- High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2-4 years) or equivalent combination of education training & experience.
In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with freezer inventory and sample management preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations
- Familiarity with inventory systems such as LIMS.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy ensuring all samples and freezers are current compliant and error-free.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and other relevant software applications.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position Specialist II Clinical Lab Scientist based in Massachusetts is $25.00$35.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
