The FSET Lead Career Adviser serves as a key leader within the FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET) program ensuring participants receive effective participant-centered services that support their career goals and long-term self-sufficiency.
This position provides mentorship coaching and guidance to case management staff while overseeing service quality participant outcomes and program compliance. The ideal candidate is a skilled workforce development professional with a passion for developing staff improving program performance and helping individuals overcome barriers to employment.
Job Description
Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to case management staff.
- Support onboarding training mentoring and ongoing professional development activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability collaboration continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for staff handling complex participant situations and employment barriers.
- Lead team meetings case staffing sessions and performance discussions.
Ensure participant assessments employability plans and service delivery align with FSET requirements and participant career goals.
- Review case records and service delivery practices to ensure quality accuracy and timely follow-up.
- Monitor participant engagement retention and employment outcomes and implement strategies to improve performance.
- Support staff in identifying and addressing barriers to employment education and training.
- Promote participant-centered service delivery that encourages empowerment self-sufficiency and long-term success.
- Monitor program performance metrics and identify trends challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze participant and program data to drive informed decision-making and enhance service effectiveness.
- Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and improve outcomes.
- Partner with leadership to implement workforce development best practices and innovative service strategies.
- Ensure compliance with federal state organizational and grant-funded program requirements.
Conduct compliance spot checks documentation audits and support other quality assurance activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
- Support preparation for monitoring reviews and audits.
Promote access to workforce services and employment opportunities.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in workforce development career coaching employment services case management human services or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience coaching mentoring training or leading staff.
- Strong understanding of participant-centered case management and career planning practices.
- Experience developing service strategies that support employment education and skills advancement goals.
- Ability to analyze data and use performance metrics to improve outcomes.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with case management systems Microsoft Office applications and data reporting tools.
- Commitment to professionalism confidentiality and ethical service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Services Social Work Workforce Development Education Public Administration Business Healthcare or a related field.
- Experience with FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET) SNAP Employment & Training (SNAP E&T) WIOA TANF or other workforce development programs.
- Knowledge of labor market trends career pathways and employer engagement strategies.
- Experience working within grant-funded programs.
- Bilingual language abilities.
Additional Information :

This position requires regular in-person work at our Racine Kenosha and Waukesha offices. Employee must be able to commute between these locations based on business needs.
