Job Summary

The FRYSC (Family Resource and Youth Services Center) Program Assistant supports the center coordinator in removing non-academic barriers to learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing student referrals.
  • Organizing resources.
  • Maintaining confidential records.
  • Facilitating community outreach.
  • Work with the FRYSC coordinator to ensure the implementation of activities as added in each of the FRYSC components.
  • Keep records of cases for useage by FRC and outside agencies (when appropriate).
  • Assist FRYSC coordinator with financial record keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Shall have a working knowledge of computers.
  • Shall have demonstrated people skills to indicate ability to function in a team oriented environment.
  • Shall have a high school diploma GED certificate or demonstrate progress in obtaining a GED as required by Kentucky law.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance
  • Shall maintain appropriate working appearance.
  • Interpersonal skills; patience courtesy and care.

Physical Demands:

  • Wide range of physical movement.
  • Use of speech vision and hearing.
  • Use of hands of simple grasp and fine motor manipulations (bending squatting reaching with the ability to lift carry push and pull light weights).
  • Indoor and outdoor activities.
