Front End Software Engineer

We are seeking a motivated career-oriented and customer-focused Front End Software Engineerto join our team in Annapolis Junction Maryland.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers providing technical guidance standards and code review
• Architect and implement scalable maintainable front-end solutions using modern frameworks
• Translate prototypes and design specifications into functional responsive and accessible interfaces
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs ensuring efficient data flow between front-end and back-end systems
• Contribute to full-stack development efforts as needed including backend services database interactions and deployment pipelines
• Establish and enforce front-end coding standards best practices and component reuse across the team
• Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks cross-browser issues and technical debt
• Participate in sprint planning technical estimation and architectural decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g. Section 508 WCAG) throughout development

Required Skills:

• Twelve (12) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
• Seven (7) years experience in Software Database and Repository Interface Development
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React Angular Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript)
• Full-stack experience including backend development (e.g. Python Java RESTful/GraphQL API design
• Familiarity with version control (Git) CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS Azure or GovCloud is a plus)

Security Clearance Requirement:

• Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
