Clearance Requirements: National Background Check with Inquiries Fingerprints and Drug Screen.
Estimated Period of Performance: One 12-month base period of August 20th 2026 through August 19th 2027 followed by four annual option years through August 19th 2031.
Type of Employment: In-person 40 hours per week.
Estimated Total Compensation: $24.59 per hour
Paid Time Off: Up to 80 hours per year which starts accruing on the day of hire.
Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year which starts occurring on the day of hire.
Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays
Working Hours Monday through Friday 8:00 AM4:00 PM. The employee may start as early as 7:30 AM but no later than 8:00 AM. A 30-minute lunch must occur between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM unless the M&FRC Chief approves a deviation. The Front Desk/Data Entry Specialist should assume 2080 hours per year.
Qualifications
Proficiency in applying and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint) and working knowledge of web-based applications.
At least 12 months/one year of customer-service experience; professional communication skills
No specific degree or professional certification is required.

Summary of Duties: The Front Desk/Data Entry Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for clients by greeting visitors answering and routing telephone calls scheduling appointments and classes and providing routine program information. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate client records in AFFIRST and Department of Defense Transition Assistance Program (TAP) databases ensuring complete client sign-in procedures sending appointment and class reminders preparing monthly usage and data-entry reports safeguarding Privacy Act information and Government property and supporting daily front desk operations while maintaining high standards of customer service accuracy and compliance.
Attire
The Front Desk/Data Entry Specialist is expected to wear approved professional clothing appropriate to the environment while on duty as requested. Footwear will be closed-toe flat-bottom and completely cover the feet.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive screen and route incoming telephone calls and greet visitors in a professional manner.
Provide routine information regarding Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) programs services classes and workshops.
Schedule clients for classes workshops appointments and other M&FRC services.
Enter update and maintain client information in AFFIRST and DoD Transition Assistance Program (TAP) databases.
Distribute program resources and send appointment and class reminders to clients.
Maintain the appearance and organization of the front desk and reception area.
Ensure all clients complete required sign-in procedures and verify attendance records.
Generate monthly client usage activity and data-entry reports.
Protect Privacy Act information and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive records.
Safeguard Government-furnished equipment materials and property.
Complete all required mandatory training and comply with applicable policies and procedures.
Maintain a minimum 85% data-entry accuracy rate and complete required entries within two business days.
