With a staff of 950 and an annual budget of $140 million Project Renewal is one of the larger social service nonprofits in New York : Front Desk AttendantProgram: Renewal HouseSalary: $20.079 per hourProgram DescriptionRenewal House is a 50-unit 1 year transitional living program for people who have completed a substance abuse treatment program and are seeking employment. All participants must be approved by HRA for Category F Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties of the Front Desk Attendant include but are not limited to the following activities:Responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe and secure environment maintaining a clear and unobstructed building safety patrols throughout the facility and documents same. Monitors CCTV system and security cameras. Observes tenant(s) and visitor(s) behavior reporting any unusual behavior to the appropriate visitors and guests announces/directs/escorts them to the appropriate location. Maintains visitor/guest log. Maintains accurate log entries and writes Incident Reports when necessaryAbility to use a multi-line telephone and intercom system. Acts as Fire Guard. Provides crisis intervention in emergency and contacts appropriate personnel. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or senior staff. Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED and experience working with homeless and substance abuse population Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferredProject Renewal is an equal opportunity employer.
