FPGA Engineer + Nuclear Instrumentation & Control Los Angeles, CA

You will collaborate with electrical embedded software and systems engineers to ensure reliable performance in mission-critical applications.

• Design and develop FPGA systems for instrumentation and control platforms
• Implement FPGA logic using VHDL or Verilog
• Integrate sensor and actuator interfaces into hardware control systems
• Perform simulation validation and hardware testing
• Collaborate with embedded software and hardware teams on system architecture
• Support development of safety-critical and fault-tolerant systems

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related field
• Experience with FPGA design (VHDL or Verilog)
• Experience with embedded hardware systems
• Strong debugging and hardware validation skills
• Familiarity with safety-critical systems is a plus

• High-reliability systems (nuclear aerospace defense robotics or energy)
• Signal processing or real-time control systems
• Hardware-in-the-loop testing

$140000 $200000 depending on experience.
