FP&A Corporate and Business Unit Team

Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. The Business Unit facing positions offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights while growing your FP&A leadership and interpersonal skills. You are considered a business partner and your contributions will make a difference. Youll become involved in but not limited to pricing decisions and new initiatives to develop new products and services. You can have an impact on new business growth opportunities through development of business case scenarios.

The Sr. Manager of the Wholesale Standard Pricing team (Verizon Business Group Commercial Finance) will be responsible for working collaboratively across functions to establish the strategy for client teams on both an operational and financial basis. Key oversight areas may include:

• Review all standard pricing costing within the Verizon Business Groups Wholesale organizationto determine overall financial impact to the business and alignment to Verizon strategic plan.
• Partner with product organization pricing development sales operations network and technology services to develop standard costs for new product development enhancements geo expansions and lifecycle support.
• Perform complex financial analysis to determine financial viability risks and rewards.
• Prepare and review financial summary with the executive leadership team and make appropriate business recommendations.
• Identify complex business performance issues and present insights on the consolidated internal reports and external presentations.
• Ensure the team successfully executes on capital planning review/analysis and provide guidance on optimal use of cash.
• Be a trusted advisor providing value-added decision support and guidance to executive management.
• Provide strategic financial and operational insights utilizing recurring performance reports ad-hoc analysis and performance reviews.
• Evaluate business trends and assess monthly and quarterly business performance in driving strategic business analysis.
• Advise on risk and opportunity considerations for managing cost and growing the revenue and profitability.
• Recommend planning and business performance issues to define and execute action plans.
• Identify and assess cost and effect patterns in the business not captured in existing reporting.
• Perform monthly performance review of business unit initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide decision support and guidance; lead ad-hoc presentation development and executive review.
• Present and communicate to all levels of the business.

Youll need to have:

• Bachelors Degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience or specialized training.
• Six or more years of relevant financial experience.
• Experience with communication and presentation to senior leadership.
• Business case development and analysis experience.
• Experience with customer specific profitability analysis.
• Ability to understand and model financial impacts associated with payment term or methodology changes (e.g. cash flow impact fees etc).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Thorough knowledge of Verizon Business Groups product portfolio business units and profitability.
• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance or Economics.
• A professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA).
• High degree of strategic and analytical capability including the ability to analyze a large amount of data.
• Strong strategic skills with the ability to identify and assess key points implications and recommendations; Proven ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
• Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements Generally Accepted Accounting Principles tax reporting and accounting practices and International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Advanced understanding of report query and design.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives root cause analysis and project management.
• Familiar with Essbase Smart View Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Strategic Finance.

In this hybrid role youll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $94000.00 - $180000.00.
