Founding Engineer

Were hiring a founding engineer who seeks early-stage ownership and is eager to work directly with service members on problems that matter.

In this role youll work side-by-side with the founders to radically transform how military teams prepare for urgent global missions.

As a founding engineer youll own the full product development lifecycle - from deeply understanding user needs to shaping product strategy to launching core features that service members rely on every day. Youll play a foundational role in shaping our culture and have a voice in key company decisions both within the engineering team and across the full org. Today service members juggle hundreds of readiness requirements across legacy systems causing knowledge gaps mission risk and persistent admin burdens. Paratus replaces this with an AI orchestration layer that automates workflows accelerates decision speed and cuts admin time by 90%. • Travel to military bases (1x/month) to translate user needs into code

• US citizenship

• Experience with Typescript and full stack web frameworks (Next Express)

• Experience with Postgres or other SQL databases

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers

• Can ship production quality code at a high frequency

• Experience working with Kubernetes

• Comfort working with open-source infrastructure (e.g. Grafana Loki Keycloak) in secure deployments

• Knowledge of DoD security and compliance frameworks

• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production-grade applications or workflows

• Familiarity with military operations and/or veteran experience is a plus

• Active US security clearance is a plus

• Salary of $140-$200k & .5%-1.5% equity
