What Youll Do:

Operating at the intersection of Solution EngineeringProfessionalServicesand Product ManagementForwardDeployedEngineers (FDEs)leverage state-of-the-art AI tooling alongside deep implementation expertiseandindustry knowledgeto buildfoundational solutionssolvecomplexproblemsaccelerateour customers time-to-valueanddecrease the cost oftraditional services.You will partner with our salesorganizationbyapplying your technical abilities problemsolvingskillsand business acumen in support of SailPoints growth objectives.

Forward Deployed Engineers(FDEs)at SailPoint embark on their journey by undergoing comprehensive productand salestraining. Thisinitialphase allows them to harness their existing experience paving the way for a profound understanding of our SaaS solutionsand the challenges theysolve forourcustomers.

Responsibilities:

• Activelyparticipatein the sales process and work closely with the direct and channel sales teams

• Discover and understand customer requirements and align our solutions to those requirements augmenting your expertise with AI tooling

• Participate in onsite and remote foundationalimplementation engagements

• Educatecustomers on high-level product architecture functional design and best practices

• Assistin theanalysis and documentation ofcustomer requirementsand how theymapto SailPoint solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like sales solution engineeringproductprofessional servicesand customer success to ensurea seamless customer experience

• Collaborate with otherForwardDeployedEngineeringteam memberstodesign creative solutions to complex problems.

• Master ArtificialIntelligence andAgentictechnologiesto solve customerproblems.

• Contribute tobuilding out Agentictechnologysolutions thatbecomeour standard fordemonstrationsofSailPointsproducts.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of professional work experience as part of an enterprise software company systems integrator or consulting firm; 3 years of software implementationor pre-salesexperience.Experiencein software developmentimplementationand configuration

• Excellent communications skills and extensive experience workingdirectlywith clients and partners

• A working knowledge of technical infrastructure including web services application servers databases virtualization and directories isrequired

• Conversant in modern SaaS architecture

• Experience withagentic coding toolssuch as

• Cursor Claude Code Kiro Google Antigravity GitHub CoPilotOpenAI Codex

• Familiarity with Java XML LDAP SQL JSON Azure/AWS/GCP is desirable

• Experience with the following tech-stack

• NodeJS JavaScript Typescript Angular

Preferred:

• 3 years working with Identity Governance and Access Management solutions

• Experience withat least one of the following;SpringBoot SpringMVCXML SPML/SOAP web and application servers

• Windows and Unix (Linux Sun HP AIX) platforms

• Relational databases (Oracle Sybase MSSQL MySQL)

• NoSQL databases (MongoDB Cassandra Redis)

• Directories (LDAP AD)

• Java BeanShell JavaScript

• Enterprise resource planning or service management systems (SAP PeopleSoft ServiceNow)

• Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms (AWS Azure GCP)

• Front-end language experience (HTML CSS Angular React )

• Familiarity withSailPointproductsandvendorssuch asSaviyntRSA/AveksaOneIdentityOralceIdentity Manageretc..

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts

• Experience with project management duties (project planning resource management scope schedule and status documentation)

• Experience with quality assurance duties (usability testing performance testing automated testing test scripts test cases and test plans)

• Security software or IT audit experience

Education:

• Computer Science degree Engineering degree orequivalent experience

• J2EE certification and/or CISSP certification is a plus

• SailPoint Certified Engineer or Solution Architect is a plus and is expected within 12 months of hire

Travel:

• Thispositionmay requireup to 15% travel

The Path to Success (Milestones):

1-Month Milestones:

• Undergo comprehensive product and sales training harnessing existing experience to gain a profound understanding of SailPoints SaaS solutions and the challenges they solve for customers.

• Begin to understand the FDEs role within the sales process by meeting key stakeholders across sales solution engineering and professional services.

• Familiarize themselves with the general approach to foundational implementation engagements and customer education strategies.

2-Month Milestones:

• Begin participating in sales deals leveraging product implementation expertise and client and partner communication skills.

• Implement foundational solutions and proof-of-value implementations contributing to rapid time to value for customers.

• Actively assist in the analysis and documentation of customer requirements and their mapping to SailPoint solutions.

3-Month Milestones:

• Be fully ramped on core tools and processes required for participating in sales deals and implementing foundational solutions.

• Consistently apply their expertise enhanced by AI tooling to discover customer requirements and align SailPoint solutions.

• Actively contribute to collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams and other FDEs to design creative solutions for complex problems.

6-Month Milestones:

• Serve as technical leads on customer engagements.

• Establish themselves as both technical and consultative experts within the SailPoint Sales organization.

• Consistently accelerate customers time-to-value and decrease the cost of traditional services through deep implementation expertise.

• Actively contribute to building out Agentic technology solutions that will become standard for product demonstrations
