This role assists with receiving handling stocking storing recording and dispatching goods in a warehouse or distribution center a same-day ship facility with a very fast-paced environment. Temp-to-hire with a pay increase upon conversion to FTE. Warehouse is not temperature controlled (can be hot in summer). Steel toe shoes required. Daily morning meetings to discuss workload; one-earbud-only policy (no active calls or two earbuds); 5-minute grace period before considered late with strict lunch/break enforcement.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely and properly operate warehouse equipment (forklifts cherry-picking lifts pallet jacks other machinery)
- Complete equipment logs and daily forklift inspection form before/after each shift
- Maintain company forklifts: lubricate moving parts ensure gauges function properly equipment is charged/fueled and fluid levels are adequate
- Unload materials/merchandise from incoming vehicles; receive and put away incoming goods; unpack bales/crates/containers; check for damage and invoice discrepancies
- Load trucks for customer delivery; check for damage and shipping discrepancies
- Complete shipments by processing and loading orders; read schedules/orders to determine items to move
- Pick pack and dispatch outgoing goods using pick sheets; verify product/quantity accuracy
Experience
- 3 months of relevant experience and/or training
- 1 year of forklift operator experience operating stand-up forklifts and order pickers required; 2 years preferred
- Forklift/cherry picker experience preferred
Key Skills
- Stand-up forklift and cherry picker operation
- RF scanner usage
- Basic computer skills (MS Office; Vista Control SX.e Prophet 21 preferred)
- Basic mathematical skills (add subtract multiply divide; rate/ratio/percent computation preferred)
- Report compilation and correspondence writing
- Team collaboration and self-motivation
- Accuracy-focused work approach
Eligibility & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain within a specified time period
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules work orders operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
