Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Location: Muscatine IA
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift 810-hour shifts

We are hiring an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator for a food-grade warehouse in Muscatine Iowa. This position is ideal for a dependable safety-conscious operator with a stable work history and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift and applicable attachments safely and efficiently

• Pick and prepare orders for shipment ensuring accurate products and quantities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments

• Locate move and organize inventory to maximize warehouse space

• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements

• Complete routine forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns

• Follow all warehouse safety sanitation pest-control and food-safety procedures

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Communicate with supervisors and team members to meet daily productivity goals

Qualifications

• 35 years of professional sit-down forklift experience

• Stable employment history with demonstrated job longevity

• Strong safety record with no forklift-related accidents

• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment

• Basic math computer and inventory-tracking skills

• Strong communication and attention to detail

• Ability to occasionally lift 5060 pounds

• Ability to bend stoop and frequently mount and dismount a forklift

Employment Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete:

• 7-year background check

• Drug screening

• Physical examination

• CRT physical stress test

Work Environment

This is a food-grade warehouse environment. Employees may experience:

• Dusty or humid conditions

• Temperatures ranging from approximately 40F to 90F

• Exposure to food-related odors

• Potential exposure to soy and wheat allergens
